Good News Stories
The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area
over the last week, following the work the teams have been doing. This is the work that
the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park
and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of.
The team have conducted a number of vehicle stop sites, the team were looking for
vehicle related offences, including speeding, insurance, and mobile phone use. There
was a variety of vehicles stopped and checked; strong advice was given.
This week the teams were involved in an arrest of a prolific shoplifter on Beckenham
High Street, the male was arrested for shoplifting, criminal damage, common assault,
and public order. When in custody the male was also found to be outstanding for other
offences in Kent. The male has been charged for all the offences and is due to appear in
court. The teams would like to thank the off-duty officer who was doing his shopping for
assisting in detaining the male.
The Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley officers have assisted
Bromley Council in executing an environmental warrant on an address, a welfare check
has been conducted on the individual living in the property and advice was given by the
environmental officers for Bromley Council.
The Kelsey and Eden Park Team have sized two dogs who were involved in an incident
that is being investigated under the Dangerous Dogs Act. The Dog Unit will be looking
after the dogs and conducting the assessments while investigations are ongoing.
Yesterday the teams had the privilege of attending several Remembrance Day events
across Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House and Shortlands and Park
Langley. There were services held in all the above locations. The teams and members of
the public had a chance to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Lest We
Forget.
